We work at local and national levels to create opportunities for our members to grow, challenge themselves, and connect. We run quality events, advocate for our members, and build strong partnerships to shape a thriving industry.

Our Governance structure
A steering committee governs and leads the Generate Network. The committee sets our strategy, supports members to grow, and helps shape the future of recreation leadership. We’re committed to being diverse, inclusive, and truly representative of the industry. This includes diversity in role, gender, ethnicity, and location.
Generate Conference committee
Our Generate Conference committee is made up of a group of passionate recreation professionals from across the motu (country). They’re the ones who will bring the Generate Conference to life.

Our membership is open to emerging leaders, students, and anyone new to working or volunteering in recreation. This includes people from councils, regional and national sport trusts, consultancies, policy makers, and volunteer organisations. Members also come from outdoor businesses, open spaces, venues, and anywhere recreation happens in Aotearoa.
